We started this because gift shopping is genuinely overwhelming.
You want to give something that feels like it was meant for that person. Then you run out of time and buy a hamper that looks like every other hamper. We have done it too. That is the whole reason HeartyKrafty exists.
What we actually do all day
We make three kinds of things. Keepsakes you hold onto: photobooks, magazines, bookmarks, greeting cards, you name it. That is where most of our orders come from and, honestly, what our clients love most. Then branded and customized gifts: mugs, mousepads, keychains, photo frames, fridge magnets. And event pieces: programs, placards, signage, invitations, props, full gift box curation for people who would rather hand the whole thing over.
A few things that are true about us
Every product is designed around the person or occasion it is for. Nothing gets recycled from one client to the next. We do not offer products, we offer a whole experience.
You talk to the person making your gift. There is no account manager and no call centre. If you message us at 9pm about whether a photo will print sharp, the person who answers is the one who will lay out your book.
We are an online shop but we have a physical pickup point. Come and see some of our samples at Sasa Mall, Shop C6, Moi Avenue, Nairobi.
And we work on deposits, which is what lets us take on detailed made-to-order pieces without cutting corners to protect our costs. Sixty percent to start, the rest once it is ready. Never the whole thing upfront.
The boring but important bit
We have been doing this for over a year and a half, out of a small pickup point at Sasa Mall on Moi Avenue, building most of our sales through WhatsApp, TikTok and Instagram. We are officially registered as Remine Experiences, though nobody has ever called us that.
What you get out of it
A gift that does not stress you out, and a reputation as the person who gives gifts people actually remember. The alternative is what most of us are used to: something last-minute and generic, forgotten by the following week.
